Cuối tuần qua, bộ phim đã ra mắt khán giả điện ảnh thế giới và đạt thành công vang dội. Ở thị trường Bắc Mỹ, Watchmen thu về 55,7 triệu USD sau bốn ngày công chiếu, doanh thu tuần đầu cao nhất kể từ đầu năm 2009. Bộ phim cũng thống trị thị trường thế giới với 27,5 triệu USD thu được tại 45 quốc gia. Câu chuyện phim khá phức tạp, diễn ra trong bối cảnh rắc rối xen lẫn giữa thực tế và viễn tưởng. Năm 1985 tại nước Mỹ, Richard Nixon yêu cầu sửa đổi Hiến pháp để ghi dấu sự kiện nhiệm kỳ thứ năm làm tổng thống. Đó cũng là lúc nước Mỹ xung đột lớn về năng lượng nguyên tử với Xô Viết - quốc gia đã lên chương trình cho đồng hồ tận thế: chỉ còn 5 phút trước giờ tận cùng của thế giới. Nhân vật chính trong phim là một nhóm người hùng đeo mặt nạ bảo vệ nước Mỹ, có tên Watchmen. Khi phim bắt đầu, một trong số họ, có tên Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), anh hề vô liêm sỉ, một kẻ hiếp dâm, vừa bị giết chết. Phát hiện ra một âm mưu nhằm trừ khử nhóm của mình, những người bạn đồng hành của Comedian rũ bỏ khỏi những an phận thủ thường, bước ra khỏi những con kén bấy lâu vẫn ẩn náu, điều tra kẻ đứng đằng sau vụ ám sát. Cùng lúc đó, những người hùng hết thời này còn phải giúp cả thế giới tránh khỏi con ngáo ộp khủng khiếp sắp hủy diệt loài người: chiến tranh nguyên tử...

Based on the 1986-1987 comic book series Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Set in an alternate-history 1985, Watchmen follows a group of former vigilantes as tensions heighten between the United States and the Soviet Union while an investigation of an apparent conspiracy against them uncovers something even more grandiose and sinister. I saw this movie in the cinemas and i loved it, highly recommend watching this. Enjoy!

Note: Accoding to comments on various sites this is not the Directors cut, so personally ill wait for that since its an extra 24 minutes longer.
