ImTOO DVD Ripper cho phép ta chuyển đổi toàn bộ nội dung của một phim DVD sang một đĩa Super VCD hoặc VCD với chất lượng hình ảnh và âm thanh đẹp hơn quá trình tiến hành capture qua các thiết bị hỗ trợ. Nếu bạn muốn lấy một đọan phim nào đó từ một đĩa DVD thì chắc chắn ImToo DVD Ripper là phần mềm bạn đang tìm. Chúng ta cùng tìm hiểu xem những ưu điểm của chương trình này so với các sản phẩm cùng lọai.

Chuyển đổi định dạng DVD thành định dạng thông dụng

Đầu tiên bạn hãy cho đĩa DVD vào máy tính. Sau đó bạn nhấn nút File và chọn Open DVD và chọn ổ DVD-ROM. Chương trình sẽ tự động tìm và hiển thị các file chứa dữ liệu video (*.VOB) trên đĩa DVD. Bạn hãy chú ý đến dòng Input. Tùy theo từng đĩa DVD mà có thể hỗ trợ âm thanh (audio) và phụ đề (Subtitle) bằng nhiều thứ tiếng khác nhau. Bạn hãy chọn ngôn ngữ cho phù hợp với mục đích sử dụng.

Nhìn xuống bên dưới, bạn sẽ thấy dòng Output. Quan trọng nhất là dòng Format, cho phép ta trích xuất ra định dạng Video VCD tiêu chuẩn có thể chiếu trên các đầu máy phát gia dụng (mặc định là hệ NTSC) hay bạn có thể xuất ra định dạng Super Video CD với chất lượng và âm thanh chỉ kém chút đỉnh so với đĩa DVD gốc hoặc định dạng nhỏ gọn AVI. Dòng Output folder cũng quan trọng không kém vì đây là nơi chứa đựng kết quả chuyển đổi. Bạn có thể nhấn vào mục Setting trên thanh menu và chọn Output Settings để biết các thông số thật chi tiết về từng định dạng chuyển đổi.

Nếu tất cả đã sẵn sàng thì bạn chỉ việc nhấn vào nút màu đỏ để chương trình tiến hành quá trình chuyển đổi.

- Encode from Current Item: Trích xuất một đọan phim ưa thích. Bạn di chuyển con trượt đến thời điểm cần rip trên thanh thời gian. Với lựa chọn này thì chương trình sẽ trích xuất từ thời điểm bạn chọn cho đến kết thúc phim.

- Encode Chapter: Trích xuất những đoạn chappter trên đĩa DVD. Bạn chọn chaptter cần trích xuất bên phải và nhấn nút Create Volume. Sau cùng kích họat nút Encode để ImTOO DVD Ripper làm việc.

- Encode Segment: Trích xuất theo thời gian của chương trình. Bạn nhập thời gian vào các ô tương ứng và kết thúc bằng việc nhấn nút Encode.
